As if February couldn't already be the worst month, especially February 20th, my great uncle passed away yesterday (02/20/12) at the age of 92. Although we weren't close he was always very nice to me, always smiling and always happy to see me.
However, it comes as a bit of a shock since I had to find out about it via Facebook.
In all fairness, my entire side of the family found out after I saw it posted on Facebook (and called all of them) so it's not an adoption thing but it still feels really odd to find out about a family death that way.
I really HATE February.

I am truly sorry for your loss. Sometimes the ones that are kind are the ones that mean the most to us without others understanding this....

i am sorry too...i have also find out about the death of a loved one via facebook...an oddity of the age of tech!
February is such a cold dark month and your loss only adds to the gloom you already fee at this time of the year.
I hope you are seeing that it surely will be an early spring.
